What skills and experience we're looking for

Desired Criteria

  • Level 2 or above Food Hygiene certificate
  • Level 2 or above Health and Safety Certificate
  • 1 Year or more Experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of working with cleaning chemicals
  • Knowledge of PPE and how to deep clean kitchen equipment
  • Knowledge of HACCP

  • Able to lift heavy items (Manual Handling training will be given)

Job Description

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Wash crockery and utensils
  • Serve during breakfast and lunch
  • Set up tables and chairs in the dinner hall before and after lunch
  • Daily clean of kitchen and dining areas
  • Transport food and supplies to and from the catering kitchen at River Tees Secondary Academy.
  • Prepare packed lunches when needed
  • Monitoring catering supply levels at River Tees Primary and replenishing when appropriate
  • Complete HACCP documentation on a daily basis
  • Report failing equipment to supervisor
  • Communicate effectively with staff
  • Carry out basic food preparation tasks
  • Accept training to enable safe completion of duties

You will be employed at River Tees Multi-Academy Trust, based in Middlesbrough. You may be required to work at any other of the RTMAT establishments.
