Catering Assistant job summary

We are seeking to appoint a committed Catering Assistant with good all-round skills and a flexible approach to duties to join our catering team.

Key tasks of the role include undertaking general kitchen duties, food preparation and service, the operation of a cashless till system and basic cleaning duties.

Previous experience in an educational environment is preferred but not a requirement however, the ability to communicate easily with staff and students is essential.

Knowledge of health and safety in the kitchen would be helpful, although full training will be provided.

Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Amendment Order 1986 and, as such, it will be necessary for a Submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous convictions. Shortlisted candidates will be subject to an online/social media check in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, September 2023.
