Catering Assistant job summary
TBSHS are looking to appoint a dedicated catering assistant to prepare and serve food as instructed by the Catering Manager. You will support the smooth daily operation of the kitchen and dining services to the defined standards and quality working within DFE guidelines regarding current health, safety and hygiene legislation and the school Health and Safety Policy. You will provide high standards of customer care and ensuring the provision is good quality food at low cost.
What we are looking for:
A well-organised, proactive individual with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Good communication skills
Someone who is reliable in all aspects of work and conduct
Good cooking skills and ability to follow instructions, e.g. menus, recipes, allergies, guidelines, codes of practice.
Able to use general catering equipment, safely and correctly
An individual who is courteous, efficient and friendly with staff and students alike
Be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the school
Someone who can assist in the preparation of all food items and help ensure high standards of food preparation.
Adhere to the required personal hygiene standards.
