Lampard Community School aim it so meet the education, social and welfare needs of children who have Education Health Care Plans for their complex profile of needs and who have significant needs related to communication and interaction.

The school caters for 196 pupils aged 4 to 16 and serves the community of North Devon.

Lampard is located in Barnstaple, with easy access to the A361/A39.

The Role

As a Catering Assistant, you will support the daily running of the school kitchen by helping with the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages. You will maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, set up and clear the dining area, wash equipment and load dishwashers, and ensure all catering areas are kept safe and organised. The role also includes checking and storing food deliveries, supporting occasional in‑house catering functions, and reporting any concerns about equipment or food safety. You may act as relief cook when required, working under the direction of the Catering Manager/Cook‑in‑Charge.
