The Queen Elizabeth Academy are seeking to appoint an organised Catering Assistant who will work well as part of a team and truly want the best for our students. If you enjoy working with young people and would like to help them prepare for their future working lives, we would like to hear from you.
We are seeking to appoint an individual to assist with the basic preparation of food which may include some cooking. The successful candidate will also assist with setting up the servery counters for lunch, as well as general cleaning of the kitchen and associated areas.
To succeed, you will have good timekeeping and the ability to work as part of a team and independently. You will have excellent communication, organisational and customer care skills, the ability to operate IT equipment e.g. tills, is essential. We are keen to secure a positive Catering Assistant who can make a telling contribution to our team. The department is part of a well led, mutually supportive Catering team and the appointed candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and will be supported by a Catering Manager and a strong SLT.
