Catering Operations Manager job summary

Is it time for a new challenge? Do you want to make a direct, positive impact on the catering provision within education?

This unique opportunity will allow you to use your passion and expertise to improve the catering offer in our academies.

We are a new team with complete control over menu design and development. We utilise our shared experience within catering, education and multi-site management to engage with our academy communities to improve how things are done.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Relish a challenge and want to make a genuine difference to the lives of our pupils and students

  • Have extensive multisite catering experience, within an educational or private sector catering environment

  • Have the highest expectations for themselves and others, and the standards that need to be met to provide a fresh and exciting food offer

  • Work collaboratively using financial planning experience to deploy budgets effectively

  • Share our commitment to an inclusive, aspirational education for all pupils

  • Have skills, knowledge and behaviours aligned to leading and running a comprehensive and professional food operation

  • Thrive in developing a provision that is an integral part of our pupils' day

  • Innovate to effectively lead and deliver high quality provision, supporting a variety of catering requirements across our schools

  • Hold a catering qualification and food hygiene certificate, with a knowledge of COSHH and Allergy legislation.
