Founded in March 2018, the vision for The Samara Trust is ‘enriching lives’, a vision that pervades all that we do across the Trust and our schools. The Samara Trust brings together a variety of different Church of England primary schools to work together, supporting each other to create improved outcomes for our pupils in ways that would be far more challenging if we tried to do them by ourselves. This is our ethos.
Following the retirement of our current CEO, The Samara Trust is seeking an ambitious and inspirational CEO to drive our mission forward with pace at a transitional period in the Trust’s development. We need a leader who will define and deliver a strategy and structure to create an environment where all our learners are able to achieve their potential, by raising ambitions as well as standards. He or she will ensure all of our Church of England academies raise standards, recognising the need to adapt to the individual context of each of our academies, whilst benefiting from the full support and shared objectives and resources of the wider Trust and its Board of Trustees.

The successful candidate will be committed to an inclusive approach to providing high quality education for all our pupils according to their individual strengths and needs: leading an outward looking organisation, guiding by example, working collaboratively and developing partnerships. You will be an outstanding leader who can articulate your vision, provide evidence of a strong moral purpose, offer personal effectiveness and deliver high pupil outcomes and continuous improvements.

You will be a sophisticated communicator with strong management skills to ensure effective working with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Whatever your background you will bring energy and drive, you will have proven change management skills to support, develop and challenge leaders across the Trust. The successful candidate will ensure outstanding leadership within the academies and wider teams.

In return for your energy, integrity and enthusiasm, we offer you the opportunity to work within our Trust alongside many excellent leaders and a highly supportive executive team. The members of The Samara Trust’s board have an excellent track record in school improvement
