Chief Finance and Operations Officer job summary

The CFOO will play a pivotal role in leading the strategic direction of the Trust’s financial and operational functions. They will develop and implement efficient procedures to support resource management and the delivery of our Trust strategy.

The successful candidate will oversee financial planning, monitoring, reporting, and compliance, ensuring that the Trust meets all legal, financial, and regulatory requirements.

As a member of the Executive Team, the CFOO will contribute to the strategic direction and oversight of the Trust, sharing collective responsibility for its overall performance and success with the overarching purpose of supporting the achievement of excellence in pupil outcomes.

Mowbray Education Trust (MET) is a collaborative family of eight schools and a preschool setting, educating over 3,500 pupils and employing more than 550 staff across Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. Our schools span from Early Years to Post-16 and serve a range of communities - from small village primary schools to large secondary schools in towns serving areas with considerable socio-economic challenges - united by a shared mission: Children First.
