Chief Financial Officer (CFO) job summary

About you

As CFO, you will lead the financial strategy of the Trust, ensuring long-term financial sustainability and compliance. You will work closely with the CEO, Trustees, and school leaders to develop innovative solutions that enable us to deliver on our mission. Your expertise will drive financial planning, risk management, and resource allocation, supporting our vision of improving outcomes and opportunities for all children and young people.

The Role

  • Develop and deliver the Trust’s financial strategy in line with its strategic goals.

Provide expert advice to the CEO and Trustees on financial matters, including compliance with the DfE and charity regulations.

Knowledge or understanding of academy trust funding.

Lead financial planning, budgeting, and reporting to ensure transparency and accountability.

Oversee the finance team and ensure robust internal controls and processes.

Work with school leaders to maximise the effective use of resources to improve outcomes.
