Chief Financial Officer job summary
This is a really exciting time join Heritage Multi Academy Trust. We are comprised of six schools (over 3200 children), which are all oversubscribed with strong Ofsted ratings. There is one large secondary school and five primary schools, all local to each other. The financial position of the Trust is strong and we are looking for a strategic lead to continue the excellent work of the retiring post holder. We are looking for a Chief Finance Officer to lead the financial operations of our network of schools.
The Chief Financial Officer is a key role within the Central Team of the Trust and will take the lead on setting the strategic development and direction of the Trust finance operations, ensuring the financial health and sustainability of both the Trust and our schools. Our Central Team is currently small and we work closely together to provide a range of services to our partner schools. It is very much a collaborative effort with schools empowered to manage their own day to day business, whilst drawing on the Central Team for a variety of services.
Our Trust was established in April 2025 and has grown to its current size in less than a year. We see scope for further growth in the future as we consolidate our current position. As a Central Team we are fully committed to empowering our schools and facilitating for them. Our Education Leadership Group (ELG) is pivotal in all decision making, particularly in this early development phase of our Trust. In a tight financial climate, the CFO will support the CEO in searching out nothing but the best economies of scale, whilst also ensuring that we provide first class services to our schools. You will play an integral role in helping us to achieve this. If you are a well organised, highly motivated finance leader with an eye for detail and an empathetic approach, we would love to hear from you.
We look forward to receiving applications from those who are interested to join us.
