North Duffield Community Primary is a small school in the village of North Duffield near Selby. The school currently has 118 children on roll, most of them from the immediate locality and surrounding villages.
North Duffield Primary was judged as a good school by OFSTED in July 2017. The report stated that staff recognise the unique needs of every pupil and ensure that care and learning opportunities are tailored to meet those needs. This ensures that pupils are confident, independent learners who are proud of their achievements and demonstrate outstanding behaviour. The school takes excellent care of its pupils and they feel extremely safe in school.
The school is made up of five classes with children aged from 4 to 11 years old. Some pupils are organised into mixed-age classes. The school presently holds a number of awards, including the International Schools Award, Healthy Schools Award, School Games Mark, Arts Mark, Primary Science Quality Mark, the Basic Skills Quality Mark and it is a leading school for inclusion in North Yorkshire.
