Easton Primary School

Easton Primary School is a small, rural primary school located in a picturesque village setting. With just 74 pupils, we pride ourselves on our close-knit community and family-like atmosphere. Our three mixed-age classes, Hazel, Rowan, and Oak, provide a nurturing environment where children thrive academically and personally.

Boasting large outdoor grounds, a forest school area, and a children's vegetable and fruit garden, our school offers a unique and enriching learning experience. We place a strong emphasis on sport, arts, and reading, helping our pupils develop a well-rounded set of skills and a love for learning.

Teacher (0.6 KS2)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join our team on a 0.6 job share basis, working Monday to Wednesday. This is a permanent role, teaching a mixed Year 3/4 pupils in our Rowan class.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that promote a love of learning and intellectual curiosity
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils, including those with special educational needs or English as an additional language
  • Make effective use of assessment to monitor progress, set targets, and plan subsequent lessons
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
  • Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school, developing positive relationships with colleagues and parents

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably with mixed-age classes
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for primary education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development

Desirable Qualities:

  • Experience with outdoor learning
  • Interest in sports, arts, or reading
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team

Salary: M1-M6
