About this Role
Do you have a passion for teaching and making a real difference in children's lives?
Kidbrooke Park Learning Centre (KPLC), based within Kidbrooke Park Primary School, is a specialist provision for primary-aged children in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. As a short-term intervention service, KPLC supports children at risk of permanent exclusion, promoting positive educational and social outcomes. Our nurturing environment empowers pupils to develop independence and self-regulation, helping them confidently manage their emotions and behaviour while building strong foundations for lifelong learning.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Classroom Teacher with high expectations for learning to join our specialist provision. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Special Educational Needs (SEN). Working closely with a skilled and supportive team, you will play a key role in helping pupils re-engage with their learning, develop confidence, and achieve personal and academic progress.
A high level of flexibility will be essential to respond to the individual needs of the children and the evolving nature of our provision.
Strong classroom management, excellent communication skills, emotional resilience, and a commitment to inclusive practice are vital.
Experience working with children with SEMH and SEN is highly desirable.
KPLC is part of Kidbrooke Park Primary School, a two-form entry school, judged by OFSTED to be Good. We are a research-engaged community and are constantly seeking new and innovative ways of developing teaching for learning. Our ethos is rooted in creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is valued and supported in their personal and academic growth to become life-long learners. We are part of The Compass Partnership of Schools MAT; an innovative and forward-thinking group of schools comprising of Alderwood, Boxgrove, Cann Hall, Deansfield, Halstow, Horn Park, John Ray Junior, John Ray Infants, Notley Green, Shalford, South Rise, Willow Dene and Wingfield. The Partnership offers immense opportunities to develop the quality of provision, sharing of good practice and professional growth.
