Class Teacher

We are seeking an exceptional class teacher to join our dedicated and skilled team. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced and early career teachers, as we place a strong emphasis on professional development and have a robust ECT mentoring programme in place.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that promote a love of learning and intellectual curiosity

  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all learners, ensuring they are supported and challenged effectively

  • Make accurate and productive use of assessment to monitor progress, set targets, and plan subsequent lessons

  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a positive and safe learning environment

  • Contribute to the design and provision of an engaging curriculum within the relevant subject area(s)

  • Develop effective professional relationships with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for primary education

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

Desirable Qualities:

  • Experience teaching in an infant school setting

  • Knowledge of the EYFS and Key Stage 1 curricula

  • Ability to lead extra-curricular activities or subject areas
