About The Role

At Avanti Meadows, we are looking for a Class Teacher who can bring learning to life while maintaining high expectations for both achievement and behaviour. You will guide pupils through their learning journey with care and clarity, using assessment and insight to help them move forward with confidence.

​Alongside a supportive team, you will contribute to a school culture that balances strong academic outcomes with a deep commitment to wellbeing and personal growth.

What will you do?

  • Deliver high-quality teaching that ensures strong progress, attainment, and inclusive learning for all pupils, adapting practice to meet a wide range of needs.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess effectively using a range of strategies and data to set ambitious targets and support continuous pupil development.
  • Create a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment, maintaining high expectations for behaviour, conduct, and relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external partners to support pupil wellbeing, achievement, and the wider life of the school.
  • Uphold statutory responsibilities, including safeguarding, professional standards, and ongoing development, contributing positively to the ethos of the school and Trust.

What are we looking for?

  • Qualified to bachelor’s degree level in relevant or allied subject
  • Able to work independently, collaboratively and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills with children, parents and carers
  • Ability to create and maintain professional working relationships
  • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students.
