Class Teacher job summary

We are seeking to appoint an inspiring and highly committed Class Teacher who can ignite a real passion in our pupils by providing a rich and engaging curriculum. We are looking for a teacher who understands the importance of child-centred learning and has experience of, or a strong interest in, implementing continuous provision and enhanced provision approaches within Key Stage 1 to support engagement, independence and deeper learning.

We are seeking applicants who:

  • Are passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring every child achieves their full potential.
  • Have experience of, or a strong interest in, implementing continuous provision and enhanced provision approaches within Key Stage 1 to support engagement, independence and deeper learning.
  • Have high expectations of achievement, behaviour and attitudes to learning for all pupils.
  • Demonstrate a secure understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and effective teaching and assessment practices. Is committed to meeting the needs of all learners and promoting inclusion, equality and diversity.
  • Can build positive and productive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues.
  • Are reflective, motivated and committed to their own professional development.
  • Have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative team and is willing to contribute to the wider life of the school.
  • Are creative, enthusiastic and able to make learning exciting and memorable.
  • Understand the importance of supporting children's personal, social and emotional development alongside academic achievement.
  • Can contribute positively to the ongoing development of provision-based learning within Key Stage 1, including supporting smooth transition from EYFS.
