We are looking for a Reception Class Teacher to join Isle of Ely Primary, where the early years are shaped by care, curiosity and high expectations. This role focuses on creating a nurturing and purposeful environment in which children feel safe, confident and ready to learn, while delivering engaging, play-based teaching that builds strong foundations across the Early Years curriculum. We value practitioners who understand child development, observe and respond thoughtfully to individual needs, and work closely with families and colleagues. As part of Active Learning Trust, you will be supported to grow, collaborate and make a lasting difference at a pivotal stage in every child’s journey.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured learning aligned to the Early Years Foundation Stage, supporting children’s development across all areas
- Observe, assess and track progress, using insights to adapt provision and meet individual needs
- Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes positive behaviour and wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents and carers
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children in line with statutory guidance
