Greet School is a 4-form entry primary school in the heart of Sparkhill providing the best education for children in an area experiencing high levels of deprivation.

This exciting role will be based in a Year 3 class until the end of the academic year 2024/2025. Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare courses and lessons in line with the school’s curriculum to promote the development of the abilities and aptitudes of the pupils in any class or group assigned.
  • Teach assigned pupils according to their educational needs including the setting and marking of work to be carried out by the pupil in school or elsewhere.
  • Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils.
  • Promote the general progress and well-being of individual pupils and of any class or group assigned.
  • Make records and report on the personal, educational and social needs of pupils.
  • Adherence to the Teachers Standards.
  • Safeguards pupils’ health and safety both when they are authorised to be on the schools’ premises and engaged in authorised activities elsewhere.

You will have the following skills/ experience.

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience of working with children working at all levels, including those with Special Educational Needs & Disability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
