Broadclyst features a 420-place primary school, a 40-place nursery, and a Teaching School and The Cornerstone English Hub. Broadclyst Primary School is the founding member of the Cornerstone Academy Trust.
Broadclyst Community Primary School (BCPS), rated Outstanding by Ofsted, was founded in 1810 to serve the children of the local community. It has developed a local, national and international reputation for its innovative use of IT and digital media. It is part of the Cornerstone Academy Trust, a multi-academy trust that provides 21st century education across four schools as well as professional teacher training through the Cornerstone Teaching Academy.
Digital tools are going to be a critical part of your child’s future. Whether your child is using a computer to edit video, a waterproof device to collect data in forest school, or developing literacy, free thinking, creative and communication skills in the TV studio, the ethos of BCPS is to use the technology alongside excellent teaching to provide an outstanding education, packed with opportunity. However, balance is very important in education, as in all areas of life. The children will also play and learn outdoors, at forest school and on the allotment as well as in sports teams and they have the chance to sing in a choir, play a musical instrument and learn to cook.
