What skills and experience we're looking for
Qualifications and training
Essential
Teaching experience (including during ECT placements) in EYFS, KS1 or KS2
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through any route x Willingness to undertake further CPD.
Specialism in EYFS, Maths, English/Phonics
Desirable
Relevant postgraduate studies.
Subject leader in core or foundation subject
Evidence of wider professional development
Teaching experience in other phases or working with children in other settings or
contexts
Skills and experience
Essential
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
Effective teaching and learning styles, including Assessment for Learning (AfL)
Excellent communicator – sensitive, compassionate and effective x The theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children (e.g. classroom organisation and learning strategies)
The statutory requirements of legislation concerning Equal Opportunities, Health &Safety, SEND and Child Protection.
National Curriculum requirements at the appropriate Key stage
The monitoring, assessment and recording of pupil progress.
Knowledge of strategies to inspire and improve outcomes for students
The positive links necessary within school and with all its stakeholders
Desirable
The preparation and administration of statutory national curriculum tests (KS1 and/or KS2)
The planning and teaching of guided and individualised reading.
Excellent organisational skills to ensure efficient and effective implementation of the role
Knowledge of strategies to recognise and reward efforts and achievements and the
ability to encourage students to become self-reliant and independent learners

Bandon Hill Primary has an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Teacher to join us on a full-time basis.
We are looking for someone who shares our values, with teaching experience (including during ECT placements) in EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
As a Teacheryou will motivate, challenge, support and inspire our students. Other responsibilities will include:
- To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
- To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/tutor.
- To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to accelerate with their learning.
- To contribute to raising standards of student attainment across the school.
- To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
