Further details about the role
We are excited to recruit two teachers for our brand-new school: Whipman Woods Flying High Academy. Our newly appointed teachers will form part of a brand-new team working together to deliver an exceptional school that we can all be proud of. Being a part of a new school provides a unique opportunity to have a direct influence on shaping and establishing a vision for a brand-new school. You will establish the first classrooms and welcome our first cohort of children into this new school.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the staff that make up the very team at Whipman Woods Flying High Academy.
Whipman Woods Flying High Academy will open its doors to children and the community in September 2024. Whipman Woods will be the third new school that Flying High has opened, following on from the significant success of Hucknall Flying High Academy and Rivendell Flying High Academy. Up to 30 children will be welcome into the foundation stage in September 2024, with up to 15 children in years 1- 6 and nursery due to open in January 2025. Class teachers will be recruited based on skills and experience, and we will allocate you to a class based on where we believe you will have the biggest impact. As part of a new and dynamic team, you will work together to shape this new school embedding relationships with children and families, that ensures every child has the opportunity to achieve.
Flying High is a partnership of 33 primary schools, with a significant track record of success. Collectively we aim to impact social change, by making every day count for every child and every community. At the heart of our success is a commitment to working together to deliver the very best for our children and to enable each member of staff to maximise their potential.
As a class teacher, you will have significant support from both within the school and across our partnerships. ECTs will receive the highest quality mentoring alongside a package of support from Flying High. All teachers have the opportunity to access a significant CPL offer, aligned to your responsibilities, and join a network of teachers who work together across our partnership. We want you to grow and be invested in as a teacher and potential future leader and will ensure the right support in place to enable you to be the best version of yourself
