About us
Brooke School is a broad-spectrum Special School catering for pupils aged from 4 - 19 years. We have a warm, mutually supportive and caring ethos with enthusiastic and skilled staff who are highly aspirational and committed to pupil welfare, progress and life chances.
Our learners experience a language rich curriculum that ensures they can communicate effectively in a range of contexts. Expressive and spoken language underpin the development of reading and writing, giving our young people a voice in society. To do this, we have designed a curriculum full of inspirational topics, to suit a variety of students needs and tastes.
Our School is part of Unity MAT, which is a small, ambitious trust comprising of ourselves and two other similar special schools. Our collaborative working means that we have shared understanding of the challenges and issues that our Schools face and can working together to find solutions. The Schools are supported by a strong Core Team who provided dedicated support services across the Trust.
What we need
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic teacher for the above position to join our hard-working and dedicated staff team at Brooke School. Experience with working with pupils with a range of complex needs is desirable and a passion for enabling pupils with SND to achieve their full potential is essential.
Are you an experienced and qualified Teacher, in a mainstream or SEN setting and ready for your next challenge? Can you teach and deliver creatively? Are you ready to inspire the next generation of young minds? This role would be suitable for qualified teachers from all settings.
The core purpose of the role will be:
- To provide a high quality educational experience for all pupils.
- To teach classes/groups of pupils ensuring that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their complex learning, personal and social needs.
- Maintain a positive ethos and core values of the School
- Contribute to constructive team building among teaching staff, not teaching staff, parents and carers.

Brooke School, is an all-age broad-spectrum special school in Rugby, Warwickshire, which is part of Unity MAT.
