We have an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Reception Class Teacher to join our existing Early Years Foundation Stage team on a Fixed Term maternity cover contract for one year (from 1st September 2025). You will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Recent and relevant experience at primary level, including placements for ECTs
- The philosophy underpinning an inclusive approach to teaching children with SEN
- A variety of assessment for learning methods and their purposes
- Set high standards for all aspects of teaching and learning
- Establish good relationships with pupils, parents and staff
Main responsibilities (please see job description for other responsibilities):
- To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for pupils and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
- To monitor and support the overall progress and development of pupils.
- To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides pupils with the opportunity to accelerate with their learning.
- To contribute to raising standards of pupil attainment across the school.
- To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
- To ensure pupils are safe, happy and secure.
