Are you an experienced, passionate Class Teacher who loves working in Early Years and believes that learning should be exciting, meaningful and full of wonder?
Whitehouse Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and reflective teacher to join our Early Years team from April 2026, helping to spark curiosity, nurture confidence and inspire a love of learning from the very start of a child’s school journey.
This post is initially a one-year maternity cover. While fixed-term, there may be opportunities for the role to continue beyond the initial contract, subject to school needs.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Class Teacher who:
- Has a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and a genuine passion for Early Years
- Brings learning to life through creative, purposeful and playful experiences
- Creates a warm, calm and stimulating environment where children feel happy, safe and excited to learn
- Believes in high expectations and truly understands that every child can succeed
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive team
- Builds positive, trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Is reflective, enthusiastic and keen to continue developing their practice
This role also has the potential to include elements of leadership within the Early Years team and provision, supporting the continued development of high-quality practice. This will be shaped by experience, interests and the needs of the school.
