Class Teacher job summary

We are seeking an exceptional classroom practitioner with a creative approach to teaching to join our team on a temporary maternity leave contract that will commence December 2025, ideally with induction days to get to the know the class in November.

Located on the edge of the renowned Epsom Downs racecourse, our diverse and vibrant Primary School offers a unique learning environment. We are a large, well-resourced school with state-of-the-art outdoor play areas, a small farm where children participate from Year 1 onwards, two Nature World/Forest School areas, a Music room, Library, and an outdoor beach. This role is for a class teacher, preferably with Key Stage 2 experience, who will collaborate closely with their Phase Team, our Headteacher, and Deputy.

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated teacher to:

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
  • Assess, track and support pupils’ progress, ensuring all children achieve their potential
  • Create a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
  • Work in partnership with colleagues, parents and carers to support children’s learning and wellbeing

  • All teachers have subject responsibility (except Early Career Teachers).
