What skills and experience we're looking for

Principle responsibilities:

The teacher will undertake all duties required of a qualified teacher identified in the School Teacher’s Pay and Conditions Document and will undertake teaching in a designated area of the academy.

  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons, which meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
  • Undertake reasonable roles and responsibilities as requested by the Head Teacher.
  • Make accurate and productive use of assessment to promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment.
  • Establish positive relationships with the children in your class and across the academy.
  • Play a full part in the life of the school community, supporting the ethos of the school, and encouraging staff, parents and pupils to do likewise.
  • Comply with school policies and procedures in areas such as assessment, marking, behaviour management, and communication with parents, teaching English as an additional language, cover, induction, planning, staff meetings, and parental events.
  • Ensure personal professional development, being up-to-date in national and local developments, participating in whole school and individualised INSET and sharing with others.
