What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a passionate EYFS/Year One Class Teacher.
A maternity cover position has arisen at Chilmark Primary School. From June 2023, we require a creative, child-centred EYFS/ Year One classroom practitioner. We will consider a September start for the right candidate.
We welcome applications from both ECTs and experienced teachers.

We would like to appoint someone who:
- Is passionate about education and who wants to ensure children have the best possible memories of learning in an environment that is creative, exciting and forward-looking.
- Has a good sense of humour.
- Can prove that they are a great teacher with high expectations of themselves and the pupils in their class.
- Is a real team-player and will commit not only to their own development but to working with colleagues and parents to improve learning outcomes for all of our pupils.
- Is able to assess children within the Early Years Framework.
- Has high expectations of pupils from all backgrounds, including SEN and PPG pupils.
- Can already lead a subject area or has potential to lead a subject (area to be negotiated).
- Will support the Christian aims and ethos of our school.
