The successful candidate must have high expectations of pupils and of themselves and be able to make learning both challenging and fun for our enthusiastic children.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has high expectations
- Has experience across the full curriculum
- Is flexible and likes working within a team
- Puts children at the heart of their decision making
- Can show initiative and has good problem solving skills
- Is a good communicator
- Is highly professional
The children at Waterside love learning . Which allows our teachers to enjoy teaching and have maximum impact. Our focus, for the children, is to teach a rich curriculum and provide them with lots of interactive experiences.
In January 2018 the school joined the Agora Multi Academy Trust. This has been highly successful and is increasingly enabling us to share good practice between the member schools. We are building ever closer networks, which our teachers find supportive, and this provides collaborative avenues for continuing professional development.
The staff team are very warm and welcoming and you will be offered all the support you need to establish yourself and develop within your career. A visit to our school would be very welcomed; we would love to meet you and give you a flavour of our work. However, if this is not possible, then a visit to the school could still take place after short-listing and we would still encourage you to apply.
Safeguarding at Waterside is robust and effective.
We are committed to keeping our children safe, and therefore the successful candidate would not be able to start their post without a clear enhanced DBS. We also require two good references and there must be 'gaps in employment' seen on your application. Please see our Child Protection Policy for more information.
Please contact the Kevin Peart, Headteacher, or call on 01707 321203 for more information.
