Hampsthwaite C of E Primary School

The Trust wishes to appoint an excellent and committed Key Stage 2 teacher to join Hampsthwaite C of E Primary School from September 2026. This is a 0.4 FTE post, and we warmly welcome applications from candidates interested in working as part of an effective job-share arrangement.

Hampsthwaite is a happy, thriving village school where all members of our community are encouraged to enjoy, achieve and flourish. We are proud of our nurturing environment, high expectations, and strong sense of teamwork. Our children are enthusiastic, kind, and eager to learn.

We are seeking a teacher who:

  • is committed to our caring and inclusive Christian ethos;
  • demonstrates strong classroom practice and can deliver high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stage 2 (KS2 experience is highly desirable);
  • has experience of, or a clear understanding of, effective job-share working, with strong communication and organisational skills to ensure continuity for pupils;
  • has a secure knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment requirements;
  • can support the progress and attainment of all pupils, including those with SEND;
  • works effectively in partnership with teaching assistants and colleagues;
  • is a reflective practitioner with high expectations for achievement, behaviour and inclusion;
  • contributes positively to the wider life of the school and Trust.

In return, we offer:

  • a welcoming and supportive school community with enthusiastic and well-behaved children;
  • a collaborative team committed to high-quality teaching and professional development;
  • the opportunity to work within a supportive Multi Academy Trust, with strong networks and CPD opportunities;
  • a school that values staff wellbeing and professional growth;
  • a forward-thinking curriculum and a commitment to continuous improvement.

This role would suit a teacher with strong KS2 training and practice. We are particularly keen to ensure a successful and seamless job-share partnership, so a willingness to work collaboratively and communicate effectively is essential.

If you are passionate about making a difference in a small, community-focused school and are looking to be part of a supportive and ambitious team, we would love to hear from you.
