What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors of Hunter’s Bar Infant School are seeking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated and successful class teacher from 1 September 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to provide high quality teaching, which offers the best possible inclusive education for our children.
You will:
- Be an outstanding classroom practitioner who can inspire a love of learning
- Have a commitment to raising achievement for all within our diverse school community
- Be an excellent communicator, with high levels of emotional intelligence who is able to work in partnership with parents, governors and the community
- Have an excellent understanding of the new curriculum and assessment in Key Stage One
- Be a positive role model within school

Hunter’s Bar Infant School is situated two miles south-west of the centre of the city and is a popular and lively school with a very diverse pupil profile. We are a larger than average sized, three form entry, infant school with 270 children on roll. Classes are organised in single year groups, with three classes in each year.
