About The Role:

Thank you for showing an interest in applying for a position at our school. Welcome to Kennall Vale School – a small village Primary school serving Ponsanooth near Truro. We are on the A393 Redruth – Falmouth road, close to the Kennall Vale Nature reserve, a picturesque river valley containing the remains of Kennall Vale Gunpowder Works. Kennall Vale School opened in new, purpose built premises in 1993 and, since then, has been extended and completely refurbished. The school has 5 classrooms, and at present 132 pupils on roll organised into mixed-age classes.

Truro and Penwith Academy Trust, together with the Local Monitoring Committee of Kennall Vale School, are seeking to appoint a dynamic and committed Class Teacher to work as part of our team. The real strength of the school lies in the people; staff, children, parents and Local Monitoring Committee members are proud of our school and work hard to provide a caring and stimulating environment for learning. About You:

You will have some experience of Primary Teaching alongside an excellent knowledge of the Curriculum. You will be able to demonstrate strong classroom management skills and have the ability to create an engaging learning environment based on secure relationships. You will have a passion for teaching with a commitment to improving outcomes for all students. You will be a team player – treating everyone with kindness. You will demonstrate a commitment to remaining abreast of advances in research and practice within primary education and to upholding our school values. Overall you will show enthusiasm and a commitment to overcoming barriers to ensure our pupils can flourish academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
