What skills and experience we're looking for

Have you got what it takes to be an outstanding practitioner? The Governors of Walkley Primary School invite applications for a teacher post, from a highly motivated, outstanding, enthusiastic professional. The post will commence from 14th April 2025. The successful candidate will be absolutely committed to high attainment and will make their contribution to moving our school towards outstanding.

You will need to show:

  • Commitment to high standards of attainment and behaviour.
  • An excellent understanding of how children learn.
  • The skills to deliver an exciting curriculum.
  • A clear understanding of the principles and practice of including children from a wide range of different backgrounds.
  • A commitment to your own continuing professional development.
  • Enjoyment of working within a team.
  • Strong understanding of Primary practice.
  • Strategies for supporting EAL and NTE pupils.
  • Passion for what you do.
