Class Teacher (KS3) - ‘The Platform’ job summary

About the Role We now have a fantastic opportunity for a teacher to join ‘The Platform’ – our bespoke, inclusive provision located on the site of Tottington High School in Bury. If you are looking to join a dedicated team in a rewarding environment, we would like to hear from you! We are seeking to appoint a teacher who can improve the literacy skills of our students. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver elements of a traditional curriculum through a primary ‘thematic’ approach to teaching. In addition to this, Prince’s Trust will be taught and training with resources will provided. Although the successful candidate will teach Key Stage 3 students, they may currently teach in a primary setting. Students will benefit from being taught in classes no larger than 8, where we will make a commitment to providing a designated teaching assistant to provide students with the personalised support they require. Equally important to academic achievement is the social and emotional development of our learners. We want our students to be successful citizens and positively contribute to their local communities, it will therefore be imperative to provide opportunities to advance these skills. Along with this, the use of a personalised curriculum and positive reinforcement will underpin your everyday practice.
