Class Teacher job summary

We are a diverse, thriving school in the heart of Bedford seeking to appoint a full-time class teacher to join our established staff team. The successful candidate may be recruited to teach in EYFS, KS1 or KS2, depending on the needs of the school and the candidate’s experience, strengths and preferences.

We are happy to consider newly qualified teachers for the position.

Posts involving work with children and/or vulnerable adults are subject to the disclosure of criminal records. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. As part of our due diligence in the recruitment process, and in line with KCSIE, Livingstone Primary School will carry out online searches for shortlisted candidates. These searches will be conducted by a member of staff and recorded in line with our recruitment and appointment protocols and procedures. The process will be consistent, transparent and fair, and reflected within the school’s Safer Recruitment Policy.
