Class Teacher- Maternity Cover job summary

In this rewarding maternity cover role, you will make a real difference by supporting children in their learning journey—building confidence, independence and a love of learning through a balance of play-based and structured experiences.

You will:

• Deliver high-quality teaching that enables all children to achieve and exceed age-related expectations
• Inspire pupils through a creative and engaging curriculum
• Support children’s emotional and social development
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants and the Senior Leadership Team to raise attainment and progress
• Approach challenges with positivity and collaboration to help every child reach their full potential

We are looking for an enthusiastic, empathetic and resilient teacher who understands the importance of strong early learning experiences.

You will:

• Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Be a reflective practitioner who values professional growth and teamwork
• Build strong relationships with children and families through a warm, caring approach
• Be committed to creating an inclusive, stimulating environment where curiosity and joy in learning thrive
