At St Paul's, you will work within an experienced, strong, motivated and supportive team that enables you to be the best you can be.

We are looking for an excellent teacher, ideally with Early years or Key Stage 1 experience to cover a maternity leave in our Reception team. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and reflective practitioner to deliver high quality, innovative learning to our children. Your classroom will be an inclusive, supportive and encouraging environment, that enables the children within your care to flourish and upholds our vision of 'Inspiring Learning, Nurturing Wholeness'.

We are looking for a candidate to start after the May Half term and then for at least the following two terms.

We would consider a candidate that is unavailable to start until September 2025.

We would also consider a candidate who is only available until the end of the summer term.

Job requirement:

A good honours degree with QTS

Experience (this could be ITT placement) in EY or KS 1

Experience of teaching phonics and ideally using Little Wandle

This could be a role for someone returning to teaching or someone at the start of their career - we have a highly supportive ECT programme

The right candidate will have:

An understanding of Development matters and pedagogy related to the early Years

A love of children and a desire to see them flourish

A desire to wok in partnership with parents

A good team player

An ability to work to and meet deadlines

A desire for your children to achieve their very best

Excellent attendance and punctuality

Application Process

Applications should be submitted through the Eteach or mynewterm portal by the 25th April 2025. Candidates will be shortlisted and called for interview during the week after. Please arrange to have a tour of the school and an informal chat with Mrs Ann Alden, the Headteacher. The interview will involve a 20-minute teaching task to the whole class, an interview and a short written task. The school reserves the right to withdraw the vacancy if there is a good level of response prior to the close of application, so early applications are recommended.
