Class Teacher (Maternity cover) - Upper KS2 job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent practitioner to join our Teaching Team at Rudheath Primary Academy and Nursery to cover Maternity leave. We are a supportive, well-led Academy - proud to be part of the Focus-Trust. As an innovative Academy we are striving to improve standards so that all children achieve across a broad and balanced curriculum.

As a classteacher you need the ability and determination to promote high expectations for the achievement and progress of all children. We are looking for someone with Key 2 experience to cover Upper KS2 maternity. While ECT's may be considered, desirable candidates will have completed their ECT training and be able to lead a subject. We offer the same terms and conditions as local authority schools.

As this post is a temporary maternity cover position, the contract will run from September 2026 until the return of the post holder.

Our school community places the highest priority on keeping our children safe. Applicants for all posts will be subject to stringent vetting and induction processes. The holder of this post will be required to work with children under the age of 18 in a position of trust, and is, therefore, exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

The successful candidate will be subject to the relevant checks and enhanced DBS. Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.
