What skills and experience we're looking for
Middlestown Primary Academy are seeking to appoint an innovative Class Teacher with vision and energy to joinour team and deliver engaging lessons. The successful candidate will teach a Year 5 class on a part time,temporary basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking, ambitious team in a welcoming, friendlyschool. The successful candidate should be hard working, with the ability to work effectively in collaboration withtheir designated year group partner and other designated class teachers.
This position is available on a 0.4 part time basis, working Mondays and Tuesdays. It is temporary to covermaternity leave for up to one year.
We value challenge and active participation. The successful applicant will relentlessly pursue instilling an interestin their subject amongst all pupils, they will be innovative, with demonstrable resilience, enthusiasm anddedication.
Middlestown Primary Academy has recently been through an Ofsted inspection where it was praised for being a‘warm and welcoming’ school where pupils ‘receive an excellent education and a wealth of experiences beyondthe classroom.’ You will need to demonstrate consistently good or better teaching, motivate and inspire pupils whilst setting highexpectations. We would encourage the successful candidate to play an active role in the wider part of the schoolwhere they will be supported by a team of friendly staff and lovely children.

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) will have an experienced subject mentor assigned from day one in post. Colleaguesare supported through their early career years with regular check ins from line managers and opportunities tomeet with other ECT’s across the Trust and colleagues from HR where any further support and guidance may berequired. We are an inclusive academy and Trust and embrace opportunities to develop all colleagues on theirjourney to success. All newly appointed teaching colleagues receive a bespoke onboarding induction includingtheir first day off timetable to ensure sufficient time and preparation can take place.
