Class Teacher Part-time job summary
We have a vacancy for September 2025 for a part-time teacher in EYFS/KS1. In addition to having excellent subject knowledge and a willingness to learn, candidates will need to demonstrate that they have high expectations, a creative approach, are innovative and enjoy working as part of a team. Applications from both experienced and early careers teachers are welcome.
Lordship Farm is a popular and over-subscribed two-form entry school, with a nursery, situated on the south eastern edge of Letchworth. We have an established staff team, strong governance and a fantastic community of parent and pupils. Our most recent OFSTED noted that 'There are no limits to what pupils can achieve' and that 'pupils are taught to hold a secure belief that they can change the world if they want to.'
The school has a positive ethos and staff and pupil wellbeing is supported by an active pastoral team.
Experienced applicants can be assured of professional development opportunities and support in moving towards leadership roles. We fully support applicants wishing to undertake a National Professional Qualification and can offer supportive and experienced mentors. The school uses the CUSP curriculum, in addition to using Little Wandle for phonics both offering great opportunities for CPD. We are currently working in partnership with three similar settings within Hertfordshire giving the successful candidate access to invaluable networking and peer support.
We hope that any candidate looking to join our positive team will take the time to come and visit us in advance of applying. Visits are warmly welcomed and can be organised via the Heads PA, Zia Hornby, zia.hornby@lordshipfarm.herts.sch.uk.
Applications are to be made in full online, giving details of curriculum strengths and areas of interest for professional development. Please direct any questions via the school office to our Headteacher, Julie Petitt.
All staff and volunteers commit to the safety and welfare of our pupils. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check and the school will conduct social media checks as part of the application process.
