As a dedicated special school, we support students with moderate to severe learning difficulties, currently welcoming 105 learners at our main site. Our school follows a primary model, tailored to meet each student's individual educational needs while nurturing their social and personal development. The curriculum is thoughtfully structured to allow students to explore a wide range of subjects, encouraging curiosity and engagement. We are committed to delivering high-quality education and care. Reporting to the Head of School, the successful candidate will:
- Take responsibility for the education and welfare of a designated group of children
- Lead and manage additional adults within the classroom
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver tailored schemes of work that meet individual learning needs in this busy sometimes challenging but rewarding role
- Maintain assessment records and report on pupil progress in line with school policy
- Work closely cooperatively with on-site professionals including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists to support student development

- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Be flexible and open to ongoing training
We welcome applications from both primary and secondary sectors, including Early Career Teachers interested in special education. Full training will be provided for those wishing to specialise in SEN teaching.

Part of the Vale Federation of Schools, Stocklake Park Secondary School is a special school which caters for students who have moderate to severe learning difficulties. There are currently 100 students at the main site. The school follows a primary model and is designed to meet individual educational needs and develop social and personal skills. The curriculum is organised to give students the opportunity to experience and explore different subjects. We provide high quality education and care and students have access to a range of therapies, multi-agency professionals and a team of therapists who support students’ needs. We offer an excellent training package for staff together with a fantastic opportunity to become part of an innovative and forward thinking team who are providing a therapeutic and unique learning environment for its pupils. All students have access to swimming at our primary site, a rebound centre and purpose built outdoor spaces including a MUGA (multi use games area) and playground equipment. We are close to bus and train links and on-site parking is available for staff.
