There is an opportunity to join our team as a primary class teacher. We are looking for a suitably qualified teacher to cover a maternity leave and teach a Key Stage 2 class. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in gaining experience in a special school and developing their classroom expertise. Our school is expanding, which means that anyone interested in a permanent position will also be considered.
Teach a Key Stage 2 class of eight pupils with a range of abilities
Contribute to the wider curriculum in our primary setting, including taking responsibility for named curriculum areas
Develop knowledge and skills linked to teaching pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
Work for a school with a therapeutic approach to behaviour and relationships
Be a qualified and experienced primary teacher
Be confident in planning and delivering engaging lessons
Be prepared to develop schemes of learning and take responsibility for monitoring and assessment
Possess real strengths in developing relationships with pupils and supporting their engagement in learning
Be prepared to get involved in the wider life of the school
