Our Primary Phase needs an inspiring Year 6 teacher!
Do you believe in a child-centred approach where every aspect of the curriculum is celebrated? Would you like to work in a ‘good’ school where teachers are supported to improve and develop their teaching careers? If so, we would love to hear from you!
About us:
Cromwell Community College inspires children to grow into happy, respectful, and confident individuals thriving in a supportive community. Our curriculum is designed to ignite curiosity and discovery through exciting opportunities that make the most of what the local area offers, providing space to imagine and create.
Our site opened in 1938 and became Cambridgeshire’s first all-through school in 2020, with plans to include a nursery and pre-school, offering education from ages 3 to 18. As a cornerstone of the community, we actively foster relationships with local primary schools.
The school offers a developed ITT programme, providing opportunities to work with trainees, and includes its own sixth form. The primary phase benefits from regular sixth form students as part of work experience. Cromwell Community College joined the Active Learning Trust in 2017, a network of 21 schools across Cambridgeshire and Suffolk, offering strong support for our vision and ethos.
Our ethos centres on valuing every child, fostering high expectations, and encouraging respect and confidence across the curriculum. Our aim is to develop successful, lifelong learners.
About the role:
Cromwell Community College is the first all-through school in Cambridgeshire, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and inspiring practitioner to join our team. We seek someone who can lead a rich and engaging curriculum, fostering active learning and nurturing children’s curiosity about the world around them.
This role begins in the Autumn term of 2026.
As an excellent practitioner, you must:
- Be an outstanding teacher with in-depth subject knowledge.
- Have high expectations of yourself and your pupils.
- Be passionate about meeting the needs of all children.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Value teamwork and partnerships.
- Foster independence and pupil-led learning.
- Be reflective, resilient, ambitious, and committed to professional growth.
- Engage with all aspects of school life, including parents and the wider community.
If you are ready for the next chapter of your career, we would love to hear from you. You will join a positive and welcoming environment, contributing to the development of a highly collaborative teaching team. The primary phase, opened in 2020, will grow to a two-form entry school over time. The successful candidate will help shape both indoor and outdoor learning spaces and work closely with the primary team to refine curriculum and assessment practices.
Why Join Us?
This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact and to work in a forward-thinking academy with a commitment to inclusion and development. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative team, with opportunities for personal and professional growth.

- Articulate, fun, and eager-to-learn children.
- A creative, positive, supportive and friendly staff team.
- A positive environment with professional development opportunities.
- Collaboration with colleagues across the Active Learning Trust and local networks.
