Class teacher job summary

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, reflective and dedicated classroom teacher to join our Key Stage 2 team for September 2022.
We are dedicated to providing a high-quality education for all the pupils who attend our school, regardless of their diverse starting points. We also believe in the importance of staff development and the successful candidate can be assured that they will receive the support that they need to help them excel. In addition, we seek to provide all of our teachers with opportunities to lead whole school initiatives, develop their leadership potential and take ownership of their own professional development.
The successful candidate will:
• Be a highly reflective practitioner, with a commitment to their own continued professional development.
• Engage and challenge all pupils, by providing them with relevant, resourceful and enriching learning opportunities across the curriculum.
• Work flexibly as part of a team, challenge, encourage and motivate others and collaborate to help the school make progress towards its goals.
• Engage with the school community, building strong working relationships with parents and working effectively with local governors, CET directors and other professionals.

Queen Eleanor Primary Academy has served the community of Far Cotton since 1952. It is situated on the edge of the local recreation ground, just a short walk from Delapre Abbey. The school converted to an academy in September 2013, sponsored by Creative Education Trust. The school was judged as continuing to be a Good school in March 2023. There are currently 230 pupils in the school, approximately 35% of whom are eligible for free school meals. Over 60% of the children speak English as an additional language. The school is a vibrant community where excellence, diversity and creativity are routinely celebrated. Visits to the school are highly recommended.
