• Working pattern: Full time: The Queens’ Federation Governing Body is seeking to appoint a class teacher at Queen Edith Primary School to start from 1st September 2026. The post is permanent and full-time at KS1 or KS2. Applications from experienced teachers and ECTs will be welcomed. What skills and experience we're looking for

Queen Edith and Queen Emma Primary Schools are part of the Queens’ Federation. They are two large, thriving city schools, both in the centre of Cambridge. They are run by one Governing Body and a highly experienced leadership team. Teachers work collaboratively with their year group partner and share planning and assessment across the federation.

We have a reputation for being a warm and welcoming community with strong parent partnerships and an inclusive ethos. We aspire to motivate children through a creative curriculum and promote first-hand experiences. Queen Emma Primary School opened its doors to our first Reception Classes in September 2011. Since then it has become a thriving community school with all year groups from Reception to Year 6. Queen Emma also caters for nursery children from aged two. Our school catchment area covers the Queen Edith, Morley and Ridgefield areas and our community comprises families from around the World with 42 languages spoken in the school at the last count!
Queen Emma is in federation with Queen Edith Primary School just a 5 minute walk away. The Federation is led by one Executive Headteacher, senior leadership team and governing body with representation from both schools.
We want the children who attend Queen Emma to have a purposeful and satisfying experience, a sense of well-being, a positive self-image and to become independent and enthusiastic learners.
