What skills and experience we're looking for
Qualified primary teacher - suitable graduate teaching qualifications.
Evidence of relevant training in primary education
Key Stage X teaching experience
Ability to offer extra-curricular activities
Recent relevant training
Subject leadership
Further research or study
Up to date knowledge of the National Curriculum.
Understanding of the target setting, monitoring and assessment process.
An understanding of successful strategies for improving standards.
An ability to make effective use of modern technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
Proven successful outcomes in relation to attainment and progress.
Knowledge of the statutory requirements concerning safeguarding, SEN and equal opportunities.
Knowledge of the CPA approach to teaching maths
Google Classroom experience
Insistence on high standards and expectations.
A creative and exciting learning environment, which supports learning and allows pupils to be independent and enquiring learners
Willingness to be observed, and share practice with colleagues
Strong planning and regular assessment of children’s achievements and learning checks carried out
Proven track record of excellent behaviour management
Confident to take risks and be innovative
Team work with learning support staff and parent helpers
