We have a unique and extremely exciting opportunity to be part of the founding team of our brand-new school. We are looking to appoint an exceptional class teacher who will play a central role supporting the growth and development of the school. You will initially be the Year 1 teacher and will be the Sports Development and P.E Ambassador for the school, in your application please include how would develop an in-house and external sports offer for the growing school.
As part of the Unity Schools Partnership multi-academy trust, the school is part of a collaborative, forward thinking group of 40 schools. Silfield Oak Primary Academy opened with 30 pupils in 2025 and will grow to 60 pupils in the 2026. Eventually, the school will have the capacity for 420 pupils.
Please note that this post is not suitable for ECTs in their first year of teaching.
You will need to be a motivated and passionate individual with a kind heart who sees the unique abilities of children to flourish and strive for the best outcomes for all children. The role will include:

The ideal candidate would have:
- experience of working in KS1 and having an impact on the pupils academic and social development
- strong understanding and impact on phonics and reading outcomes for children
- experience of leading a subject area and having a sustained impact across the school area of expertise and interest in sports/P.E (desirable)
- experience of implementing the CUSP curriculum (desirable)
- a strong understanding of and experience of working with children with SEND and planning adaptations to support them to thrive
- willingness to partake in the development and growth of the school
- the ability to work well as a team
