It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Southbroom St James Academy. We are a vibrant Junior School at the heart of Devizes with over 190 children taught across 7 classes. Southbroom is a warm, friendly school with a family atmosphere where Christian values allow us to live out our vision of belonging, believing and flourishing.

We have fantastic resources, not only our team of hard working staff, but also our pastoral room (The Ark), ICT suite and recently redeveloped Lighthouse. We also have extensive school grounds which we are looking at ways to develop further. We also provide school meals prepared and cooked fresh at school every day.

Our name 'Southbrooom St James' represents our strong link with St James' Church in Devizes. The stained glass window in which our logo now sits is the DSAT window showing that we are also now part of a family of schools forming the Diocese of Salisbury Multi Academy Trust (DSAT).

Our School Vision: "We belong, we believe, we flourish" was created by everyone connected with the school and encapsulates the real essence of who we are. We are very much a team and value everyone's contribution in the development of the children we nurture and inspire every day.

In 2013 we converted to academy status with the Diocese of Salisbury Multi Academy Trust (DSAT). This change strengthened our drive for continued school improvement alongside our thirst for greater collaborative working. To find out more about DSAT please visit www.dsat.org.uk
