St. John's Primary is a one form entry school and Nursery with a real family feel. We are proud to be a small community of about 215 pupils and 40 staff; small enough for everyone to know and care for one another, but large enough to provide a range of experiences including leadership opportunities and development for all staff.

Our dedicated staff aim to give every child a bright future. We pride ourselves on having excellent pastoral care with strong relationships at the centre of the work with children, parents and the community.

We have a strong focus on well-being and happiness, promoting good mental and physical health for all children and adults at our school. Our values of kindness, courage, respect, responsibility, determination and honesty are taught throughout the school year and underpin everything that we do. The school encourages all stakeholders to embrace these values in their lives and the sharing of these ensures that St. John’s provides the environment in which children know how to become the best version of themselves.

We are committed to the education of the whole child and provide a curriculum through which every child achieves academic excellence at the same time as developing creativity, sporting excellence and has a strong emphasis on personal, emotional and social development. Our lasting legacy is that children leave St John’s with a love of learning and a pride in their personal development that will be taken into their next phase of education, becoming the foundation for a happy and successful future.
