About the role
As a Teacher at Tortworth Primary School, you will be dedicated to ensuring that our children are fully supported to meet and exceed their age related expectations. You will be responsible for creating a vibrant, inclusive classroom where high expectations for achievement are balanced with warmth, ensuring every child builds a confident foundation in phonics and numeracy. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will implement school and CSET policies while planning lessons that meet individual learning needs and promote the welfare of every student. Your role is essential in shaping academic confidence and delivering on the trust’s ambition of providing a great education for every child.
About you
We are looking for a qualified teacher with specific experience in teaching Years 2 or 3, who is agile enough to meet the changing needs of the school environment. You will be an ICT-proficient professional with an excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and the ability to build effective, personable relationships with colleagues across the Trust. As a positive role model, you will set high standards for punctuality and behavior, providing a safe and stimulating environment where students are encouraged to become caring, responsible citizens.
Why join us?
Tortworth Primary School is a small school with a big heart and is part of CSET, a family of schools with a shared ambition to provide ‘a great education for every child’ . The rural setting means the school is lucky to have extensive outdoor space, including a large forest school area which staff and children love using to enhance learning; a school field and access to another large field; a peace garden and an area with wooden play equipment. The school is currently split into three classes and also has a separate library and hall. Tortworth aims to develop the family feel that can be fostered in a small-school community by challenging all children to reach their potential, encouraging kindness and inclusion and recognising each child’s unique talents. Our Headteacher leads both Charfield and Tortworth Primary Schools, and while your main base will be Tortworth, on occasion you may be asked to support at Charfield. This collaborative approach allows staff to share expertise and strengthen provision across both schools.
We can offer you:
- A commitment to CPD and development of all staff, including collaborative support within the school and the Trust to allow all staff to thrive
- a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in a growing school.
- an ethos which embraces diversity, equity and inclusion
- A clear curriculum vision and focus on evidence-based practice
- Commitment to inclusivity and fostering of diversity
- Values, ethos and vision that are lived
- An open and honest culture
- Up to 30% discount with Microsoft & Dell
- Discounted gym membership
- Life Assurance - 3 x Death in Service
- Cycle to work scheme
- Dedicated counselling service
