What skills and experience we're looking for
This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new special school, part of the Unity Schools Partnership multi-academy trust, which opens in September 2023. You will have the chance to join the founding team of the school, contributing to shaping provision to transform the lives of generations of children: you will make the difference and be the difference.
At the beginning of the school journey, we are looking for inspirational Class Teachers with a passion for SEN and a creative, innovative approach to developing and delivering the curriculum. Join us and to make an impact on the learning and life chances of our students.
We are looking for candidates with the motivation, resilience and determination to ensure that students make progress, improve their experience of education and prepare them to lead fulfilling lives.We will educate young people between the ages of 7-16 who have a wide range of Social Emotional and Mental Health needs. Many of the pupils may also be on the Autistic Spectrum. The school serves a catchment area that covers Havering and surrounding areas of East London. The school will also be adding to our network of special schools, alongside Sir Bobby Robson School, Ipswich, The Bridge School, Ipswich and Churchill Special School, Haverhill and Sir Peter Hall School, Bury St Edmund’s.

You will be supported in your role by experienced special education leaders who will be available to offer advice and guidance as the school moves forward under their leadership. Significant training and development are available through opportunities for professional development, research, teacher training and collaboration between schools and across phases.
